Kendra & Clay | A Farm Wedding

These are my personal photos from a family wedding held at my in-laws farm. They were taken with my little traveling camera, which I find wonderful but challenging. I shot NYC using the same camera (pleasantly surprised by those) but I have to try harder to get an image I like. This is a good thing, I know. What a lovely celebration this was. We ate a gorgeous, fresh meal in the garden and roasted bannock over the fire when the sun went down. I was straight-up giddy when we lit lanterns and released them in the sky. I'm so glad for Kendra and Clay! See you in Brownfield.

PS: Please admire Faye's garden. It is wild and bountiful.

Jay & Emily's Wedding | Edmonton, AB

Jay and Emily got married at Paramount Theatre in downtown Edmonton. Their guests grabbed fruity beverages and popcorn and made their way to cushy theatre seating. Sounds alright?!The celebration continued at the Yellowhead Brewery - very cool and charming locale! A couple highlights for me: Emily and her bridesmaids busting out in a highland dance (I think I teared up?) + one of the most delicious wedding cakes I've ever had (deep chocolate flavour, dense, and not too sweet). I should also mention that they're the nicest people on earth and invited Brandon in for midnight smokies when he picked me up (alas, he was half-asleep). Thanks for having me, you two!

Jesse & Olivia Wedding | Edmonton, AB

The day before Jesse and Olivia's wedding I was wearing my winter coat and it was raining. So imagine my sheer delight (and relief) when Saturday gave us the best weather possible. It was warm! It was sunny! And the October sun dips sooner than summer so we also had the oft-coveted golden hour. Win win win.

Thanks to Jesse and Olivia and their family and friends for an enjoyable, laid back day!

Fine Art Wedding Albums

This past January when I decided to go full-time I knew I needed to find a quality album company. A solid print can be hard to come by and I've had some trial and error. It's counterintuitive to invest in solid equipment if your prints lack the quality you started with.

Thankfully I found an album company that knocks it out of the water. I have freedom to make my own layouts and the books are hardcover with thick, matte pages that lay flat when opened. Here's some album excerpts from a wedding I did in August. This album was 10 X 10 inches when closed.
